My great friend, @Joe thinks I am doing some amazing stuff and we discuss these things over call on our routine catch-ups. I felt like writing again after a very long hiatus from my blog in 2018.

So yeah, I am going to start writing again!

The AI Superpower

Fortunately for me — and I mean fortunately — AI has completely changed the game.

I use AI to move at breakneck speed. I can spin up prototypes, test out wild ideas, and ditch them if they do not work faster than it used to take just to configure a boilerplate setup.

I am the kind of engineer who always needs something active to chew on. So I am constantly hunting for new ideas and fresh problems worth solving.

So, back to the point: I am going to spend some time writing about all the fun, chaotic things I encounter as I dive into the uncomfortable — breaking things, fixing them, and learning on the fly. I already have a few write-ups sitting in my Notion, so I will be migrating them over here soon.

One more thing worth mentioning: together with my friend and co-founder @Kofi, I am building SwiftInfra — a private cloud engineering company based in Accra. A lot of what I write here will reflect that journey. The technical problems we are solving, the infrastructure work we are doing, and what it looks like to build something serious in Ghana.

What Can You Expect Here?

Here is a rough map of what I will be writing about:

• On-Premise Infrastructure: I want to keep my bare-metal and self-hosted knowledge alive and kicking, so expect deep dives into hardware and infrastructure management.
• Docker, Swarm and Linux: I have spent a lot of time breaking and fixing things in cluster environments. I have hard-learned lessons to share.
• AI and RAG: I have an active Retrieval-Augmented Generation project doing some genuinely interesting things. I will be breaking down how it works and how I use AI daily.
• Building SwiftInfra: The honest account of starting a company — the technical decisions, the market realities, and everything in between.
• Life and Daily Learnings: General thoughts and a running log of new things I pick up every day.
